Whats A God Particle Why is the Higgs-boson referred to as the God Particle?

The “God particle” is the nickname of a subatomic particle called the Higgs boson.

The Hinggs-boson particle hasn't really been given this name by any scientist.

Rather, a book publisher developed the term "God Particle."

The appellation "God particle" originated with the publication of Leon Lederman's book "The God Particle: If the Universe Is the Answer, What Is the Question?"

In 2013, subsequent to the discovery of the Higgs boson, Lederman co-authored, with theoretical physicist Christopher T. Hill

He even authored "The Goddamn Particle" in this manner. The publisher, however, did not like the name and altered it to "The God Particle."

In this way, the Hinggs-boson became known as the God particle, despite the fact that it has nothing to do with God.
